A range of low-cost portable hydraulic cranes called the Link Crane Mark Ill has been introduced by Link-Hampson Ltd, consisting of two main sub-assemblies, each of which can be lifted by one man. Three extension lengths for the telescopic jib allow it to lift 508kg (10cwt) at a distance of 0,45m (I.5ft), 38Ikg (7,5cwt) at 0.762m (2.5ft) or 254.01kg (5cwt) at I.0668m (3.5ft). At its maximum extension the lift is from 0.4572m ( 5ft) to 2.23m (7.3ft). Inisituations where the crane legs cannot be pushed under the load the jib is removed from its socket in the base turned through 180deg and replaced.
