of adding a passenger vehicle, which will he a public service vehicle, to my operations. I cannot .find any reference to the rate of Excise duty .for MI' in the Vehicle (Excise) Act 1971. How are these vehicles taxed?
The annual rate of Excise duty on public service vehicles is determined in accordance with Schedule 2 of the Vehicle (Excise) Act 1971 as hackney carriages, Part II of Schedule 2 shows the rate of duty as £12 a year with an additional 50p for each person above 20 (excluding the driver) for which the vehicle has seating capacity.
