HAULAGE rates for larger consignments rose by an average of 6.6 per cent in the quarter to March this year, according to the Freight Transport Association.
Its latest cost and rates report shows that the rates increase for smaller vehicles rose by 8.5 per cent, and that operating costs overall rose by nine per cent. None of these figures takes account of the last Budget.
