AVERY neat coach named the Successor is the latest model to be produced by W. L. Thurgood (Coachbuilders) Ltd., Ware. Hertfordshire. It is a 29-seater mounted on the Bedford VAS chassis fitted with the 300 diesel engine, and measures 23 ft. 6 in. by 7 ft. 101 in. with a height of 9 ft. p in.,

Composite construction is employed for the body, with all-steel pillars, and selected ash timbers , strengthened with flitch plates. All exterior panels are of 18-gauge aluminium. Full luxury seats are fitted, with individual head rests, and are upholstered with double-density Dunlopillo cushions and rubberized-hair squabs. The interior .waist panels are nirnmed with Formica, with polished wood pillar and cant rail finishers.

Interior lighting Is provided by seven canoe-shaped fittings beneath the rear dome and solid-based,' full-length parcel racks. Ventilation is by four top double sliding' windows to' each side, and two threeway rod vents, and interior lighting is supplemented by tinted Perspex canopies in the front dome. The rear luggage locker has 'a capacity of 72 eu. 1/.. and a Spare wheel is accommodated beneath the floor on the nearside,
