Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

DUBUC travelling facilities to Ponta saph Monastery, St. Asapli, for the tombola games there needed .imProvement, the North Western Traffic Commissioners were told at. Chester last week. An application, by Crosville Motor Services, Ltd., to vary three of their stage licences was made with this improvement in mind.

Mr. J. Edward Jones, for Crosvilles, said that they wished to link the stage services between Chester and Rhyl with those of the Holywell circular service and the Chester-Holywell service. He contended that Crosville were the only stage operators in the area.

Mr. J. Jones, a Crosville depot superintendent, submitted figures of traffic carried on the three routes in the past. Three witnesses, who Were regular visitors to Pontasaph Monastery for the tombola, fully appreciated the Crosvilie services and hoped they would continue to run. Mrs. M. Cartwright said, that she had sometimes used the services operated by P. and 0. Lloyd, Holywell, and found them very similar to those operated by Crosville.

Lloyds had put a similar application before the Commissioners in July, 1958, said Mr. E. A. Whitehead, objecting to the Crosville atiplication. The decision had been reserved. However, they had operated parties to Pontasaph Monastery until stopped by the Commissioners a few months ago.

The Chairman, Mr, F. Williamson, intimated that perhaps the two parties

could reach agreement on a joint operation of the Chester Holywell Rhyl services. After a brief adjournment Mr. Edward Jones stated that it would be satisfactorily arranged if the applications of both P. and 0. Lloyd and Crosville were granted.

Mr. Williamson agreed to make the grant but said the services could be linked only for the tombola sessions.
