• The first of a chain of nine truck park complexes will be opened by Freight Parks of Reigate, Surrey at the beginning of 1992.
The site, at Chepstow in Wales, will comprise a 250space lorry park, a 60-room motel and an 180-seater restaurant. It will have nearly 46,500m2 of warehouses, almost 4,000m2 of service area and more than 9,000m2 of offices which will be let to transport companies.
The firm, which was set up 18 months ago, plans to open four other UK sites and four on the Continent over the next two years. It is looking at sites in France, Italy, Spain and Germany.
