There seemed little hope of ending the trike of 3,400 Liverpool busmen at a mass ieeting on Wednesday, writes our industrial orrespondent.

The TGWU may be in difficulties over the luestion of possible official backing for the .iverpool strike, but it may arrange to make or-gratia payments to the men who have topped work. These would help relieve hardhip and give tacit backing to the strike.
Mr. Ray Gunter, Minister of Labour, assured APs this week that the Incomes Board is living its most urgent attention to the probe -rto busmen's pay. A report will be submitted s quickly as possible, said the Minister.
