CONSTRUCHON work is to start at once on the second patt of the Neath by-pass. The first part of the scheme, already completed, carries traffic on the Cardiff—Swansea—Fishguard road over a series of railways and waterways from Briton Ferry to Earlswood.

The second part will start at Earls' wood and run north-west for 21 miles to Lonlas to join the A48 road. The project will provide a direct road between Swansea and West Wales, and enable traffic to and from Port Talbot, Carditl and the East to avoid pile detour between 'Briton Ferry and Lonlas.

ROAD-AIR goods rates charged by Silver City Airways, Ltd., on their services between London and Paris have been reduced by 32 per cent Consignments of over 4 tons will be charged at £17 per ton, instead of £25. and there will be no extra loading or unloading charges.

The company will also offer a 48-hour service between the two capitals instead of the current time of 72 hours. This has been made possible by closer integration of air services between Ferryfield and Le Touquet and surface transport contractors.
