The price is attractive with a three-year unlimited-distance warranty and roadside breakdown services included. Residuals remain high, but this is a reflection of the Isuzu's reliability The claim of customer care appears to hold up.
If the NQR falls down anywhere it is on fuel consumption. In CM's test two years ago the Isuzu 7.5-tonner trailed the Leyland Daf FA45.16o— the most efficient 7.5-tonner we had tested—by almost 9%; but then the Daf chassis-cab cost at least LB;),000 more, and that buys a lot of fuel.
Few Isuzu 7.5tonners have been sold and operators at this weight tend to keep them for more than three years so used examples will remain scarce for a while.
