Manchester Corporadon have placed a repeat order for 20, which are to have M.C.W. bodywork, whilst Sunderland Corporationhave ordered a further four vehicles, bringing their total orders for this model to 15. All of the buses are to have Gardner 6LX engines and Daimatic transmission.

FRONT ENGINE() DAIMLERS IN DEMAND: Recent municipal orders for Daimler CVG6 front-engined, doubledecker bus chassis total 102, Manchester Corpmation, in addition to the Fleelline order mentioned above, have also called for a further 25 CVG6 models with fluid flywheels and preselective gearboxes., and M.C.W. rear-entrance bodywork. Walsall Corporation have also divided their order between the two models, specifying the CVG6 chassis with Daimatic transmission for 15 vehicles. South Shields Corporation have ordered 18 CVG6 with friction clutches and Guy constant-mesh gearboxes, to be fitted with Roe rear-entrance bodywork. Daimatic transmission has been specified for eight vehicles for Aberdeen and five for West Bromwich. Preselecfive gearboxes are called for .in 10 chassis for Derby and six for Doncaster. The Derby vehicles are to have Roe rear-entrance bodywork. All the foregoing CVG6 chassis are to have Gardner 6LW engines, but the total includes 15 vehicles with 6LX engines and Daitnatic transmission ordered by Leeds City Transport, as first announced in our May 18 issue.

FIULL-BUILT TRAILERS FOR SUDAN: A contract worth approximately £50,000 has been obtained by Weeks and Co, Ltd., of Wincolmlee, Hull, for the supply of 20 low-loading trailers for use in the Sudan. Specialty designed for carrying cotton after processing, they are to be 28 ft. long and to have a capacity of four tons.

IRAQ ORDERS FOR A.E.C.: Mosul Passenger Transport Services have ordered 25 A.E.C. Ranger IS-ft.-wheelbase, single-decker bus chassis. Bodywork having seats for 15 first-class and 20 second-class passengers is to be built by Marshalls Motor Bodies, Ltd. The Iraqi Air Force, through the Ministry of Defence, have ordered four A.E.C. Matador Mk. II 4 x 4 tractors which are to haul Taskers 35-11.-long trailers on aircraft salvage duties. The tractors are so have cabs built by Bonallack and Son, Ltd.
