Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

commercial motors for the conveyance of horses is a development which cannot fail to have impressed all those who, at any time, take any direct or indirect interest in horse shows or races. The Dennis 4-ton normal-control passenger. chassis has been selected as the basis of a three-stall horsehox which has several features of interest.

Considerable ingenuity is exemplified in the construction of this box in order to overcome the difficulty of finding room for three horses in a vehicle of such moderate wheelbase as this, namely, 14 ft. 6 ins. The three stalls are staggered and, in this way, the overall width of the vehicle is kept within 7 ft. 6 ins. There is ample room for each horse in its stall and the advantage that each animal has a groom who may be at its head, if desirable, all the time it is travelling.

The bodywork is by the National Motor Horsebox Co., Ltd., Abbey Road, Park Royal, London, N.W.10, and is made to Curtis patents. Special features are the attention which has been given to ventilation and the means for controlling it Each stall is equipped with a quick-release safety breast strap, instead of a solid bar. All partitions are operated by special quick-action spring-loaded bolts to facilitate loading and unloading, and all interior fittings can be entirely removed in a few minutes, converting the box into a general-utility vehicle. In a similar manner, the arrangement for the interior fittings can be modified to enable the vehicle to be converted for use either for the carriage of a brood mare with foal at foot and one horse, or one or two brood mares in foal and one foal.

The grooms' compartments are luxuriously appointed and access to all three horses is made quite easy.
