Sunshine cure

THE Bandalight GRP kit from Bondaglass-Vos, of Becken ham, Kent, is claimed to provide a fast, permanent and weather-proof repair to damaged non-structural body panels.

Bandalight is a glass fibre cloth impregnated with resin that hardens when exposed to sunlight.

The patches come in two sizes 127mm x 127mm (51n x 5in) costing £1.52 each and 305mm x 305mm (12in x 12in) costing £7.52 each. They can be cut to the required size, using a pair of scissors, and will bond to most surfaces including metal, wood and glass fibre.

A plastic flim protects the outside surface for the few hours it takes for the resin to cure in the ultraviolet light of the sun. It may then be peeled off and the surface remaining painted if required.
