TENDERS of Strachans (Coachbuilders) Ltd. and Metropolitan-Cammell-Weymann Ltd. for 10 single-deck bus bodies each have been accepted by Sunderland Corporation transport committee. The order with Strachans is a repeat, making a total of 46 bodies of this make under construction or on order for Sunderland's new one-man fleet. The 10 •MCW bodies, however, will be the first ever of this make to be supplied to Sunderland Corporation Transport.
