EAST MIDLANDS D.M.T. Transport, Ltd., 5 Brayford, Lincoln, have purchased a small van (unit 7339). Harris (Northampton) Haulage, Ltd., Euston Road Garage, Northampton, have obtained two platform vehicles (unit 6112).
The 30 vehicles which The Commercial Aloior announced last week had been bought by Tower Hill Transport Co. (Boston Stevedores, Ltd.), Boston Dock, Lines, are to be used in conjunction with the company's present fleet on services between their branches at Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Dudley. Glasgow, Gloucester. Grimsby,. Hull, Leeds. Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle upon Tyne, Norwich, Nottingham, Sheffield and Southampton. The 14 eight-wheelers included in the purchase will be engaged on nightly trunk services from their original bases at Chester, Brentford. Greenwich, Coventry, Birmingham and Wolverhampton.
