Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

NEW INSURANCE organisation run by the Road Haulage Assoen and international insurance broker Bain Dawes was ched in London earlier this week.

IA Insurance Services will run as a separate entity in the RHA organisation, will be open only to mem. The package is called iway and both the RHA and Dawes believe it offers all a haulier could ask for.

he premium is competitive the cover is under-written well-known insurance cornr, Sun Alliance. On top of premiums can be paid on a thly basis, spread over a 12 th period," said the new pany's managing director,

Brian Johnson.

"But the real value of our insurance package is the 24 hour emergency claim service, and secondly, reinstatement cover on damaged vehicles less than 12 months old," he added.

The emergency claim service is for real emergencies, Mr Johnson told CM. Each member is issued with a special card with a phone number on it. "If your lorry sheds its load on the motorway, for example, and you inform us, we will cover the cost of bringing out another vehicle to take that load."

Green card insurance is also issued for the vehicles that have to travel abroad.

Apart from the Roadway policy, there will be arrangements for private house insurance, life insurance and pensions schemes, both fo'r companies and the self-employed. Legal expenses insurance and credit insurance are also available.

In the past the RHA has only managed to attract 10 per cent of its members to insure through one of its accredited brokers. But Freddie Plaskett, the RHA's director general and a director of the new company, believes that many more will now take out insurance through the company.

"In fact, I expect many hauliers will join the RHA simply to take advantage of the insurance services," he claimed.

RHA Insurance Services has 15 offices throughout the country, with overall control centred on Birmingham.

The insurance company is the RHA's latest step in its effort to build up membership services available to hauliers and so attract a wider membership and more profits. A final announcement on the future of its Cargo

fax load matching and traffic information service is expected by the end of this month, and the RHA is looking into the possibility of using the British Road Services Transcard credit card service on a closed basis.
