vans designed for companies with site payment problems will be introduced by Security Express Ltd. next month. The vans can be driven on to factory yards, office car parks or building sites to enable employees to he paid where they work or to exchange their -pay cheques for cash.
Based on one-ton Austin diesel chassis. the vans have bodywork by West Surrey Industries Ltd. to Security Express speck fieation. A " letter-box " in the side of the vehicle enables workmen to pass cheques or identification forms through to a cashier inside. The pay window. of strengthened safety glass, enables the cashier to identify employees from within the van. Wage packets or cash are passed to employees through a chute.
