There will be a meeting at Crewe on February 2, and at Macclesfield the next night, with important speakers. On February 4, at the Memorial Hall, Albert Square, Manchester, there will be another of the mass meetings for which the Manchester Area is becoming famous. The national president, Col. A. Jerrett, will preside, and other speakers will be Mr. W. E. Macve, area chairman, and Mr. J. L. Kinder, national organizer. A.R.O. members will be welcomed.
Business and social events in the area are as follow :—Annual general meeting during die first half of February. Annual dinner and ladies' evening, passenger-vehicle section. oa March 4,6.30 p.m., at Piccadilly Theatre Restaurant. Area annual dinner and ladies evening, February 17, Grand litAel, Manchester. Annual general meeting of goods-vehicle section, February 9, 7.30 p.m., at Milton Hall, Deansgate, Manchester; election of officers, etc. ; Mr. Max Robinson to preside.
