rivers working for United Norwest Co-op have every reason to practice safe and legal driving. One of them, Alan Harrison, has just won a new .9,800 Citroen as the retailer's LGV driver of the year. Alan, from Stoke on Trent, drives at the society's grocery distribution centre at Talke. Despite his youthful appearance, he has worked for the Co-op for an astonishing 37 years--all his working life, in fact. Other drivers have been rewarded in the scheme introduced a year ago. Each month the best three drivers at three depots receive £100 prizu. vouchers with points accumulating for the top three annual prizes. Runners up to Alan were drivers Colin Moss of Talke and John Kirkham of Warrington who each pocketed £1,000 in vouchers.
