Iatn writing with regard to your feature on heavy goods vehicle drivers pointing out that drivers wearing spectacles will have
to take an eye test without them, just because someone in Brussels is saying that spectacles could slip off while driving.
I must say that in the 24 years I have been driving— almost a million miles –mine have never once slipped off.
If the law comes into force there will be more than 3,000 drivers unemployed and claiming dole, including me.
The hard part about this is that I personally have certificates and badges to prove that I atn a safe driver now, and hope to be in years to come.
