Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• New to the UK is the CarbonClean range of products for both diesel and petrolengined vehicles. The 1DT 4000 System is intended to remove the build up of carbon, varnish and gums from diesel fuel systems. The maker says independent testing has shown the equipment can improve fuel consumption by up to 14%, reduce exhaust opacity by up to 70% and cut PM 10 emissions by up to 76%.

This two-line cleaning system connects to the engine through OEM specific adapters temporarily taking the place of the fuel tank. A concentrated mixture of CarbonClean detergent and diesel is passed through the entire fuel system while the engine is run. Both organic and inorganic deposits are removed.

CarbonClean Systems are being distributed by Garage Equipment Maintenance Company. Call 01604 22773 for details.
