Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Adcliffe Drawdeal has produced one of the first HGV test drawbar trailers complying with the new driving test regulations which come into force on 1 July.

Built for Trent Training, the five-metre long centre-axle flatbed trailer has a shallow body filled with concrete and capped with steel chequer plate.

The five-tonne gross weight trailer is fitted with single tyres and mechanical suspension. "We've been asked to quote by other training organisations," says director Phil Savage.

Category C test vehicles must weigh over 10 tonnes, be at least seven metres long and pull a trailer four metres or longer. The combination must gross at least 18 tonnes and measure no less than 12 metres.

After 1 July 1996, the C+E Category test will have to he taken in an articulated vehicle grossing at no less than 18 tonnes, which is at least 12 metres long and capable of 80km/h.

Adcliffe has also built 12 lightweight 6.7m (22ft) demounts for Bettawear with J C Payne bodywork. Pulled by 12tonne Iveco Ford Cargo 120E chassis, the demounts have downrated rams and sections. "We're talking about version of the four-ram Clearlift 17-tonne system but limited to use on 12to-13-tonne-gross chassis," says Savage.
