Those whose literary diet is limited to newspaper headlines liable to reach strange conclusions. A headline in the Novern issue of Public Service, the Nalgo journal, said: "Drink is good old age." Another read: "Staff want bars removed."
Have I uncovered a plot to introduce euthanasia for pul servants? No. The first headline was to a story about a tenuous I between electricity-service pensioners and Allied Breweries. 7 bars mentioned in the second were impediments to promotion typists.
