• Airsea Freight Group, international hauliers and part of P and 0, have opened new headquarters in Kirkintilloch, near Glasgow, with convenient access to docks and airport.
The group consists of Airsea Freight Co Ltd, international forwarding agents; Ferryscot Ltd, European hauliers; and Scott Packing and Warehousing Co Ltd.
Only half the eight-acre site has so far been developed. This includes a 45,000 sq ft heated warehouse equipped with cranes to 20-ton capacity: 8000 sq ft of office space; and a 6000 sq ft workshop for the servicing of Ferryscot's 35 heavy vehicles.
The group plan to expand container and trailer work, claiming to be the first Scottish company to offer a direct service to the Continent.
