Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

GARDNER ENGINES Ltd. announced this week that a small oil-cooling radiator is now available for 180 hp Gardner 6LXI3 installations, and also for the 150 hp 6LX.

The inclusion of the oil cooler lubricating-oil circuit ensures that oil temperatures hardly ever exceed 90deg F above ambient, which gives much lower than usual hot-engine temperatures. The lower operating -temperature brings less risk of chemical breakdown of the oil.

It gives opportunities of using a thinner oil than normal. Oil is circulated by an additional pump, gear driven from the Gardner fuel injection pump's camshaft. Its delivery output at maximum speed is 5 gal/min. Dual excess-pressure protection valves of the sliding-port type are incorporated in the pump and the suction embodies a non-return valve to prevent depriming of the system.
