1967 has been an eventful year for the UK truck and bus operators, not least because of the recent Transport Bill. As a manufacturer. however, I feel that it is the decision to devalue sterling which will make this a memorable year.
I am proud of my company's past export record, but in too many cases profit margins abroad have been slim. With a realistic exchange rate I look forward to a substantial improvement in our sales to those countries, especially in Europe, where progress has been slow in the past.
