MR. R..1. LEWIS has joined the board of Kerry's (Great Britain), Ltd.

The Dominant chassis which he designed during that period was one of the most attractive exhibits at the Commercial Motor Show. • MR. G. R. McNEAR has been appointed managing director of the North British Rubber Co., Ltd., as from January 1. He has long been assodated with the American rubber industry. MR. .1. K. CourANT and MR. D. H. GORDON have resigned their positions as joint managing directors. Mr. Gordon remains as director of production. Mr. Coutant will no longer be connected with the company.

MEXICO TO BUILD VEHICLES

A FACTORY near Mexico City is to oe built next year to make cars, lorries, tractors and oil engines. The project, which will cost I40m. pesos, is hacked by Mexican and Italian interests. including the Fiat concern. Financial support has also been assured by the Mexican Government.

It is expected that when production commences, it will have an effect on imports of vehicles from the U.S.A., and the plant will be able to supply neighbouring markets at competitive prices.
