Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The demise of major independent used truck dealer Brandrick has stunned traders countrywide. The West Midlands business has gone into administration and, although the rental side was continuing to trade at the time of writing, the sales side has closed.

Dealers doubt that this means that other independents are likely to shut up shop, however.

"It's sad, and something I would never have expected to happen," says dealer Martin Rhodes. "Brandrick is such a well-known name.

"Tnere will always be one or two people who fall by the wayside, however, and I don't think this necessarily means we're going to see a lot of closures. I certainly hope we won't, although it has to be said that dealers who carry a lot of stock can come under severe pressure when values suddenly fall."

There is no suggestion that this is what happened in Brandrick's case.
