Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I read with interest the publicity you are giving the subject of the Irish speeding (CM18-24 July). I find these days that some of the worst speeders in this country are the British themselves, mostly Scottish hauliers.

Until recently I was a coach driver, driving at 62mph up and down the UK's motorways— and the only trucks to come flying past me were British.

Now I work for an Irish company driving trucks and yes, a lot of Irish trucks do speed, but no more than anyone else. Besides, a huge proportion of Irish trucks are driven by British drivers, as the police know only too well.

One final point: Brynle Williams wants on-the-spot fines for all foreign trucks exceeding the speed limit of 56mph, but the speed limit is still 60mph and has not changed since the advent of speed limiters. Maybe he should do some research before all this moaning.
