Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Steve McQueen infers that Moody International is not satisfied with the work the Road Haulage Association had done to hope it recover its losses in France (Road Rage, CM 15-21 August). That is completely contrary to what Mick Moody has told the RHA.

Mike Freeman, the RHAs International Controller, has intervened directly on behalf of Moody with the UK Department of Transport and the British Embassy in Paris. The latest news is that Moody's compensation claims will be forwarded to the relevant Prefectures by the British Embassy. The RHA has also warned all its international operators of further possible disruption in

September wh the problems of French "store" cattle rc-Jucers will come to a head.

If Steve McQueen wants "effective protection" then perhaps CM should armourplate its test trailer, mount rocket launchers and machine guns on it, and ship it to France. The RHA has enough expertise in its ranks to give volunteer journalists the appropriate weapon training. Meantime, please be assured the RHA will continue its battle with the authorities and give full support to its members through normal diplomatic channels. Sydney Rolgornie

Rood Houlaqe Association.
