• All businesses disposing of waste oil will have to comply with new Government regulations from 1 September. The Special Waste Regulations 1996, ensuring the safe and envimnmentally sound disposal of hazardous wastes, is to include waste oils for the first time.
Businesses such as garages, motor repairers, industrial and manufacturing operations will have to use an Environment Agencyregistered waste carrier for disposal.
