has resulted in the first ERF cab to wear the Western Star badge. Both cab and chassis were built by ERF at their factories at Middlewich and Sandbach and the vehicle is one of three bound for Australia.
The vehicle's specification has been changed for the Australian market—the front axle is further forward and the cab is mounted slightly higher. The EC cab has replaced the Cabtec cab, as fitted to the Leyland Daf 95, formally used by Western Star on its Australian "cab-overs".
