Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Blue Circle Cement has equipped eight Leyland Daf 6x2 tractive units with ZF Intarder integrated gearbox retarders. The vehicles will be used with bulk powder tanker semi-trailers to transport powder cement.

Six will be based at the company's Weardale works in County Durham and the remaining two at its Hope site in Derbyshire. Both sites are located in hilly areas. The orders follow an 18-month trial with the Intarder on another vehicle based in the South-West of England. The Intarder is capable of absorbing 420kW of loraking energy and offers increased brake-lining life and safer downhill speed control.

The Blue Circle order also includes ZF gearbox PTOs to operate the blowing equipment on the trailer. These replace donkey engines at lower cost and weight.
