Jack Wood, the Manchester Transport Training Group officer, is a man of few words. His first job when taking over his present post was to cut the group's name by two words. In his training programme his belief that one "picture" is worth a thousand words is illustrated in the class room where CM's "Loads and Forces" articles decorate the walls. Perhaps not as decorative as some pin-ups, but a jolly sight more useful.
