Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

MI Uncertainty hit NFT Distribution this week as drivers threw out proposals for a new national agreement and the United Road Transport Union found itself without negotiating rights at the company's new depot and headquarters.

Dissatisfied drivers rejected a proposed new national agreement in a ballot, forcing Transport and General Workers Union officers and NFT management to consider other options.

The drivers were unwilling to accept the 5% reduction in wages although the union had recommended acceptance, saying the alternatives were "much worse".

The difficulties came as NET switched headquarters to its distribution centre at Alfreton. off Junction 28 of the Ml. The centre opened this week and will serve retailiers including Sainsbury's. Marks & Spencer, Tesco and Safeway. It replaces NET depots at Nottingham and Rotherham and takes over primary distribution operations from its Dronfield site.

Meanwhile URTU, which claims to represent most of the drivers starting work at Alfreton, has been derecogonised by NFT at the site NFT management says: "We have a national agreement with the TGWU and that includes Junction 28."
