YOUNG hgv trainees will be competing for new awards at this year's CM Lorry Driver of the Year competition finals in September.
The National Joint Training Committee will be selecting 12 youngsters who will go forward to the finals on the basis of their performances in regional heats.
Awards will be coming from employers and they will be made for all the regional young winners and the top three young hgv drivers nationally.
At present over 100 young drivers are registered with the NJTC and they come from some of the 162 registered companies.
