Telecom '95
• The Telecom i '95 exhibition, covering the latest communications technology, will take place on 3-11 October in Geneva, Switzerland, Contact 0044-1734 776886.
Northern needs
• An international conference on the transport needs of northern England will be held at the Management Centre of Bradford University on 27 October.
It will be organised by the Northern Region of the Chartered Institute of Transport and thanks to sponsorship by United Emirates Airlines, entry will be free.

Fire safety
• Fire East '95, the conference and exhibition looking at the future of managing fire safety, will take place on 7-9 November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The free event, organised by the Institution of Fire Engineers, will address a variety of issues concerned with transport and infrastructure.

Legal lessons
• The Freight Transport Association is organising a series of one-day seminars across the country on a range of transport law and fleet efficiency issues. The seminars, which take place throughout October and November, cost £170 per person (ex-VAT).
