of Greengairs by Airdrie-based John Higgins, trading as JH Civil Engineering, Scottish LA Michael Betts refused to increase the authorisation from 12 to 14 vehicles and issued Higgins with a final warning about maintenance.
Tax appeal • The prosecution is to appeal against a Liverpool Crown Court decision that concrete mixer vehicles run by David Anderson, trading as Spotmix RMC Wigan, should be taxed at the restricted rate of £150.
More vehicles • West Midland LA John Mervyn Pugh increased the licence held by Reid Freight Services of Stoke-on-Trent, to 10 vehicles and eight trailers despite representations. A traffic examiner reported there would be little or no adverse effect provided parking and loading was controlled.
DLA warning • Colne-based Leonard and Sylvia Clegg have been given a formal warning about maintenance by North Western DLA John Levin.
Licence lost • Convictions for unauthorised use, overloading and tachograph offences have led to the revocation of the licence held by Stenhousemuir-based Mike Watson Vehicle Recovery & Transport at a Glasgow disciplinary inquiry.
