Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• There was almost a reverse grid start at the International Truckprix at Brands Hatch last weekend when disqualifications and mechanical problems put Slim Borgudd, George Allen, Steve Parrish and Curt Goransson at the back of the grid. Mel Lyndsey quickly lost pole position to Hans George de-Marwitz who was an easy winner. Allen, Parrish, Borgudd and Goransson were all busy passing the middlemen: Borgudd made the best break and moved up to second place, his best race this season; Hodge and Allen retired with brake problems and body damage respectively.

Richard Walker fought hard to prevent Parrish and Goransson from passing but finally had to give way, first to Parrish and, on the last lap, to Goransson, to come home fifth.
