• Paisley-based McKelvie Transport has won a South of Scotland Electricity Board contract to transport and warehouse heating appliances. The initial one-year contract will be renewed every year for five years and is expected to be worth over El million.
McKelvie has bought three additional vehicles for the work — a 95/350 Leyland Daf 38tonne artic from Lex Tillotson, a 17-tonne curtainsided Steyr on a Tautliner body from Colin Hutton in Glasgow and a 12.2m curtainsided trailer with tail-lift.
