• Parcels courier Business Post is on the look-out for 37 franchisees to almost double its network across the UK.
The firm, which started in London as a courier company called Yellow Express, is asking between E20,000 and £50,000 for each franchise. This will include a training programme, finance and book keeping advice, promotional material and sales and management support. Each franchise will operate one or two vehicles. Business Post can provide liveried vehicles under a contract-hire package. The parcels firm already has Post also owns 11 regional hubs in areas such as Reading, Birmingham, Manchester, Heathrow, Bristol, Leicester, Darlington, Glasgow and Barking. Around 80 trucks make regular trunking routes between the hubs and franchise areas and the firm estimates it has around 300 vans operating throughout the country.
