FURTHER phasing-in of EEC drivers' hours regulations for psv drivers come into effect from October 1.
Maximum driving in a day is being reduced from 91/2 to 9 hours with a maximum 4V2 hours being allowed for continuous driving.
Drivers' hours will be further reduced on January 1 1981 when 8 hours will be the maximum for most days.
