FREIGHT COMPUTER Services, which has been working for the National Freight Corporation for seven years, is to offer a range of computer packages to the rest of the industry.
Initially the packages will be accounting programmes suitable for medium-sized operators.
The company's stated objective is to provide the computer facility and expertise to back it up at a price that will allow the operator to cut his costs and increase efficiency.
FCS managing director David Lodge has set a £500,000 target for business outside the NFC by 1982 and he says that with locations in the Midlands, South and Scotland, the company should be able to service many customers.
