THE CENTRE for Physical Distribution and Management is to stage a series of seminars given by American experts who claim that using their methods could save 10 per cent in distribution costs.
The team, led by James E. Morehouse of A. T. Kearney Inc, has already looked at US distribution costs and concluded that the savings could be made by introducing productivity schemes.
Results of a survey of UK industry to provide up-to-date figures on distribution are being analysed and the figures will be presented at the seminars.
