Continental had been conducting an extensive customer survey and found that tyre problems are among the top three reasons for a breakdown Their HD Hybrid tyre uses a specially designed groove-sipe system to ensure that tyre tread remains constant throughout the life of the tyre, limiting the chance of damage from stones in misshaped grooves and uneven wear across the crown.
The '3D-sipes' ensure the HD Hybrid retains its handling characteristics and fuel saving abilities throughout its life. Continental also announced it is to roll out its ContiBreakdown service across 37 European countries, up from 13, to provide a wider support network for its customers
