• A management buy-in of Leyland Daf's two component plants emerged this week as a possibility, as the company's receivers continue their efforts to sell the businesses as going concerns.

The purchase, which would secure the production of current components for Leyland Trucks and Daf vehicles, is expected to be announced in a month.
