A 1990 Mercedes 1729 Powerliner 4x2 tractor unit, reg G686 PEW, was bought three months ago with new tyres. The vehicle has a push-in radio which had been removed from its cradle and full faring kit. The nearside quarterlight is scratched and the underside of the steering wheel is stained. Chassis number is 655112254107047; engine number 44290620519079. The second vehicle stolen is a 1988 Leyland Dal 95.310 4x2 tractor unit, reg F604 EMA. The vehicle has four new rear tyres and like the Mercedes had recently been fitted with a speed limiter. There is slight damage to the rear nearside panel and the offside mudguard is slightly loose. The Leyland Daf's chassis number is 317256 and its engine number is 419607.
