Fruehauf has developed an insulated dry freight van called the Cool Liner which will retain the loaded temperature of the cargo within acceptable limits until delivery.
Like those built for Boots, the bodywork has a 2.6m overall width and complies with the current interpretation of the DOT's ruling on temperature-controlled vehicles.
Steel-panelled side walls are 45mm thick, the core being of CFC-free polyurethane with the inner surface plastic coated.
The insulated roof and front wall are of the same construction: the rear doors a plywood/steel sandwich panel and the floor is a standard hardwood surfacing.
