ASome loading platforms have such
devices but they are in the minority and when they consist of hardwood they can be almost as destructive as the basic concrete. Resilient rubber edging. which could possibly be inflated, would appear to be practical. But it is surprising how many conventional solid-edge platforms continue to be built when even expert drivers can occasionally have a bump when reversing—especially when access to the loading platform is both restricted and badly lit.
