Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ALLIS-CHALMERS lift trucks were impressively demonstrated in London last week by Reddey Mechanical Handling Ltd., who have been appointed British agents for the equipment, now being produced at a new plant at Dieppe. The trucks range in capacity from 2,000 lb to 12,000 lb with 18 basic i.c. engine types available, for petrol, LP gas or diesel, and seven electric-powered models from 2,000 lb to 7,000 lb capacity.

A comprehensive spares and service organization is to be provided in Britain by Reddey Mechanical Handling Ltd., of 300, Sandycombe Road, Richmond, Surrey and I understand that most models are available within two weeks. ,

Particularly striking was the ease with which heavy machines were reversed from a fast forward speed under load. With a squeal of tyres the fork-trucks maintained full stability—evidence of a robust transmission system which would never, one hopes, be so cruelly stressed in normal operations.

An equally effective proof of ease of control, and safety in operation, was provided on gradient tests. Here the single-pedal control system was demonstrated; drivers leaped off the truck in full

confidence it would not run backwards. J.D.
