CUSTOMERS do not like buying new cars which have been driven 100 miles. said Mr. David Starrett, assistant manager of W. H. Alexander Ltd., Belfast, at a hearing at Oxford on Tuesday.
He was supporting an application by B. J. Henry Ltd., car delivery agents. of Watlington Road, Oxford, for a variation of its A licence for an additional 10 articulated vehicles. The application was opposed by British Railways.
Mr. C. M. Sheridan, East Midlands Licensing Authority, reserved his decision.
